SKIPPER MR. LAX; ELAN 40 JELENA 22 – 29.05.2010.

In general we had a great trip. At Kastela everything went pretty well. It did take quite a long time to get sorted when we arrived but it did not seem particularly slow.

The boat was 9 years old but clean and some bits were not perfect. When the fresh water system failed while we were in Korcula, it took less than 10 minutes before the repair team arrived. So I thought the service was very good.

On the return everything went well and it was fine. I enjoyed the arrival of the topless ladies but I guess that had little to do with the management of the Marina or the charter company.

The only thing I can think of which could have made it a little better would have been a practical demonstration of how the stern/bow mooring system worked. Since this was my first Med experience, this would have been a very useful exercise.

Anyway we plan another trip as soon as we can.

I replay to your e-mail re our recent boat charter, Hannah, from Kastela. 

I see Peter has already replied to you, and I echo his sentiments, but add one more: It was handled exceptionally well from your angle. The boat was excellent, far better than I had envisaged. (I have just sold my Bavaria 36, 2003 vintage, at Conwy) The staff were spot on, both the admin and the guys managing the boat, including the marina staff. And some nice little touches, a few cans of beer and wine and fruit……….. I was asking the admin girls if there was anything available for later this year, if her indoors would allow me another week free, but I was advised to contact you if even at short notice. 

Anyway, and in any event, I hope to have another charter next year, and look forward to contacting you again.

 If you want recommendations, we’re your boys……..

Thanks for your email although Bob Leadbetter is on holiday (again) in Turkey until early next week.

We are all agreed the charter was excellent in pretty well every respect and reported as such on the local office evaluation:

Check - in: Excellent (except my bank queried the CC deposit - a common feature of Croatia!)

Base staff: Couldn't be better (or better looking - the women that is)

Yacht cleanliness: Immaculate

Yacht equipment: Very good. One or two slight problems to do with finding neutral on the engine, but we managed.

Check out: First Class. We're used to cleaning the boat ourselves and the staff were extremely appreciative of the way in which we had looked after "their" boat - and they said so.

and most of all our service and what we can do to improve it. (Keep the prices down for next time!)

No doubt Bob L will want to get his oar in (good man is our Bob)

South African crew on BAVARIA 37 FREJA (skipper Mr. Gilfillan Mauritz)

Ich möchte mich hiermit für die Organisation unseres Törns vom 8.5. bis 15.5.10 mit Navigare Yachting in Kastela bedanken. Das Navigare- Team arbeitete vorbildlich, schnell und zuvorkommend. Hier nur einige Beispiele: Wünsche, die ich im Büro vorgetragen hatte, wurden bei meiner Rückkehr am Steg bereits umgesetzt. Nach unseren Einkäufen zu Beginn des Törns wurden wir mit einem Kleinbus vom Supermarkt abgeholt. Auf dem Boot befand sich ein firmeneigenes Handy, über das man jeden Tag mit dem aktuellen Wetter versorgt wurde und über das man bei Bedarf den Stützpunkt anrufen konnte. Zudem war das Boot sehr durchdacht ausgestattet.

Ich würde mich freuen, wenn Sie die positiven Eindrücke auch nach Kastela rückmelden und insbesondere Melodie und Pavi meine Grüße ausrichten.

Hi, hope you're well. Well unfortunately we are now back from a great sailing trip in Croatia, but with tans, great photos and some lovely memories.

Thought I'd drop you a line to give some feedback.

NYA were absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Excellent communication when organising airport transfers beforehand, and when our flight was delayed 4 hours they responded to our messages and arranged for the poor guy collecting us to wait!

Check in was efficient and brief, with minimal fuss and bureaucracy, and they took my wife to the nearest big super market for provisioning and waited whilst she filled their minibus with beer and gin.

The boat was well equipped and in good condition. We had a problem with the Genoa furling which they responded to quickly, phoning us back with useful help and information (we managed to fix it ourselves, although they were prepared to get someone sent out to us).

Check out was similarly quick and informal.

All the NYA staff were very helpful, efficient and very friendly.

I'd have no hesitation in recommending them as a very good company to do business with.

Arrival comments: Reception staff excellent, efficient and helpful also good transfer from the airport by Navigare minibus. Boat check in etc very easy.

Navigare also helpful re provisioning as they will collect you & shopping from store a mile or so away.

Boat cleanliness amazing. A1. They also provided some basics -bottle of wine, apples, few cans of beer/coke etc.

The charter: Excellent

The charter comments: Boat was only two years old so it should have been good but it was fantastic. Not one rope out of place or needing moving/sorting. Equipment all working and to a very high level of spec.

Elan 37 sails like a dream -very quick and responsive. Eats Bavarias alive.

Low fuel consumption too. c. 22 hours of engine used only c. 40 litres of diesel. A wonderful boat for 4 people using all four cabins.

Handback: Excellent

Handback comments: Took 5 minutes. Plenty of space in marina and easy hand back.

Transfer back to airport also v easy.

Recommend: Will definitely come back with you and also cannot recommend too highly Navigare from Kastela.

Hi Pave, Greetings from Traralgon, Victoria, Australia!
Deb & I arrived home here at 2.30 am on Friday morning after dropping Geoff & Julie Hocking off at their home. We had a wonderful trip , and really enjoyed Croatia very; particularly the days on the yacht with you. We are still adjusting to the 8 hour time difference, but will quickly have this under control.
Over the past couple of days we have caught up with family and been doing a little washing and packing the cases away. Tomorrow I have a couple of business issues to deal with . Deb however has another 1 week on holiday, which is good as it gives her time to catch up on a few things at home and with our children.
How is your Dad’s new boat purchase? Have you given it a run yet?
Deb & I will recommend Croatia and your holiday package to our friends. I hope that you are fit well and that you do get some time to yourself during the “high season “. Thank you again for your friendship and care during our wonderful trip Please say Hi to Alan for us.

We got a great trip, the weather and everything was really good. We had sun every day, and every afternoon we got the wind we needed to go to the next island. The small towns at the island we really enjoyed and we had some good evenings at the restaurants’.

The crew on Kastela marina was fantastic and they had a great service attitude. The boat was also quite good, and it fulfilled all our demand in everyway. So we are all very happy with the service both from you and the crew in Kastela, so we will definitive recommend this for others and probably come back some time.

Just to let you know, if feed back is useful to you. We were the disabled party who went to Croatia. You booked us through N.Y.C. - we dealt with Adrianna. The base in Kastella was Fantastic. The Baveria yachts were very good and the staff were all excellent.

naš, a ujedno i vaš gost Balogh Gabor je bio ne zadovoljan već prezadovoljan s brodom prošli tjedan.
Oduševila ga je jedrilica, oprema na jedrilici, uredno spremljena oprema na brodu, ugodna i uslužna ekipa u marini, ma da ne nabrajam, sve. Već godinama iznajmljuje jedrilice na Jadranu i nikad nije imao tako dobar brod i opremu na brodu.

Stvarno je bio oduševljen i odlučio je da kad god mu bude trebala jedrilica uzimat ce samo od vas bez obzira na cijenu.
